Former prime minister Raila Odinga has refuted claims that he is part of President William Ruto’s administration.
During a short presser with the media, the former prime minister dismissed the claims that he was part of President Ruto’s administration.
This was after meeting with the Chinese Ambassador to Kenya Guo Haiyan to discuss issues affecting Kenya that are conflicts of interest between Kenya and China such as trade, industrialisation and cultural exchange among others.
“With the ongoing discussions between the government between the government of China and the government of Kenya. Therefore I am concerned about the mutual relationship between our two countries” Raila said.
Barely two weeks ago, the Head of State and Raila signed a political part that could see the two parties work together at KICC which was attended by members of parliament allied to the same party.
The agreement aimed to share political infrastructure on matters of national interest.
Since the signing of the agreement, both critics and allies have been questioning his actual role within the Kenya Kwanza Administration.
But despite holding no official position, the former prime minister has been hosting senior government officials for consultations at his private office showing his growing influence in the government.
