Two students from Ramba High School succumbed on Saturday after falling into a septic tank that caved in at their school.
According to reports, the incident occurred at around 6 pm and the two students who passed on were hanging out together with their colleagues when the tragedy struck.
Rarieda Member of Parliament Otiende Omollo mourned the two students, noting that investigations had been launched over the matter.

“Another tragedy! Saddened to learn two young boys at Ramba Boys High School have lost their lives after a septic tank collapsed! May their young souls know peace, even as we continue investigating the circumstances,” he stated.
Several other students were said to have escaped without injuries. However, two more sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital.
The form four students had allegedly just returned from an AIDS awareness rally and were standing on top of the septic tank just moments before it caved in.
Officials from the Kenya Red Cross reportedly worked through the night to retrieve the bodies from the collapsed septic tank.
Following the accident, parents and other Kenyans online used their platforms to call out the negligence that had led to the tragic accident.
