Sandra Mbuvi says goodbye to her family as she goes to the UK for her studies.
She joined Brighton University in 2023.
The daughter of the former Nairobi governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has shared an emotional moment with her parents as she was being sent off to the UK.
Sandra Mbuvi has left Kenya for the UK to pursue her studies.
Posting on her Instagram stories Sandra noted that it was not goodbye she was saying to her parents and the people that were accompanying her to the airport.
“This isn’t goodbye; it’s simply see you later.”
Sandra joined Brighton University last year although not much is known on what course she is taking.
Her father Sonko also expressed sadness in a heartfelt message assuring her of his unwavering love and support for her decision to study abroad.
“Dear daughter, I want you to know how proud I am of your adventurous spirit. Watching you spread your wings and embark on this exciting journey fills me with happiness for all the opportunities and experiences that await you.’’
