The Directors of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has arrested two suspects accused of night robbery at Shawal Petrol Station along Mandera Road.
A gang of five thugs, dressed in jungle uniforms, impersonating police officers had stormed the petrol station overpowering the watchman and pump attendant and tying them with ropes.
According to reports, a distressing call alerted the officers that there was an ongoing heist at the petrol station.
The officers, upon arrival at the scene, discovered that a gang of five thugs wore jungle uniforms impersonating police officers.
The gang had made away with Ksh300,000 cash.
The officers at the instant began pursuing the thugs and they caught two suspects shortly identified as John Mwaura (49) and Muia Mutuku (28).
The two were found in possession of a mullet, and an Administration Police jungle jacket among other incriminating items.
While the suspects will be arraigned in court, the manhunt if the remaining three is continuing.
