Renowned Kenyan activist and social media commentator Dr. Mumbi Seraki has finally shared a post days after she was allegedly abducted, revealing that she survived a harrowing ordeal.
Taking to her socials, Dr. Mumbi shared a series of posts disclosing that she had been drugged and left unable to recollect most of what transpired.

According to her, what was meant to be a casual meeting turned into a near-fatal incident that left her battered, bruised, and in hospital for days.
“They almost got me last Friday, family, but as Fate would have it, I am back home, safe and sound. Battered, bruised, burnt, but still very much here to bring in the new dawn,” she noted.
Dr. Mumbi moreover added that whatever substance she was given has now worn off, allowing her to regain some clarity about the events.
The activist assured her followers that she will provide further details in due course and she went on to thank those who rallied behind her during the distressing period.
Dr. Mumbi Seraki, a well-known social media commentator and outspoken activist was reported missing for the past four days, something that sparked widespread concern among her followers and fellow activists.
Seraki, recognised for her sharp criticism of the Kenyan government, was last active online on March 15, 2025, a departure from her usual pattern of daily posts.
Her sudden absence ignited a firestorm of speculation and a growing online movement demanding her safe return, rallying under the hashtag #FreeMumbiSeraki.
Seraki has built a significant following on platforms like X and Tiktok, where she regularly addresses issues of governance, human rights, and political accountability in Kenya.
