Police FC Reclaim the FKF Premier League Top Spot as Bajaber Scores Twice

Mohamed Bajaber scored twice as Police FC thrashed Muranga Seal 3-1 to reclaim the top spot in the FKF Premier League in a match staged at the Machakos Stadium on a Saturday afternoon.

Murang’a Seal defender handled the ball inside the area in the 15th minute from an Erick Zakayo shot at goal and the referee did not hesitate as he pointed to the spot signalling, a penalty. Bajaber calmly slotted it past the Seal goalkeeper, sending him the wrong way to open the scoring and gifting Police FC the lead.

In the 38th minute, David Irishura doubled the Police FC lead with a stunning header off a perfectly delivered freekick from captain Abud Omar signalling the law enforcers were in Machakos for business, especially after fellow title contenders, Tusker FC won their match on Friday.

With a minute to the break, the visitors capitalized on a defensive error from the hosts and Victor Haki utilised it to pull one back as they probably went to restrategize at halftime.

Bajaber again rose to the centre stage as he scored his second of the game and the seventh in the league with a powerful shot into the roof of the net from a tight angle in the 70th minute and ensured Police FC beat Muranga Seal 3-1.

Police FC reclaimed the top spot with 45 points just a point ahead of second-placed Tusker FC.
