Ruto Makes ‘Kasongo’ Joke During Visit to College

President William Ruto has officially launched the Renewable Energy Efficiency Laboratory at PC Kinyanjui Technical Training Institute.

The President was accompanied by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, among other leaders and government officials.

Speaking during the launch, the Head of State expressed his gratitude for visiting the institution and said that the laboratory, being an important facility, will empower the youths through providing knowledge.

Due to scarce computers in the Institution, President Ruto pledged 100 computers by April to assist more students.

He also commented on the slow speed of the internet in the school as he cracked a joke about his popular nickname ‘kasongo’ which left people drowned in laughter.

“I am not sure about the speed of the internet. How is it? Is it good? Is there a problem? Does it have a problem or ‘kasongo’?” Ruto said.

Regarding the slow Internet speed, the Head of the Republic urged the CS for ICT William Kabogo, who was also present, to deliver Faiba internet, which he believes will be able to accommodate everybody.
