Since ensuring he left Manchester United, Ten Hag and Cristiano Ronaldo’s relationship went from bad to worst.
The two are now throwing jabs at each other from different parts of the world.
During a recent interview with fellow United legend Rio Ferdinand, Ronaldo was quick to note that his former club, Man United, shouldn’t be thinking about not winning the league, but have hope and faith that anything can happen.
This came after Ten Hag quotes noting his side was not ready to win the league but a few years behind.

Responding to this, The Portuguse star said Manchester United should always try to win the big trophies and never admit to being a few details behind.
“Mentally you can say maybe we don’t have that potential, but I cannot say that. We’re going to try, you have to try,” Ronaldo said.
Ten Hag hits back at Ronaldo criticism
In his press conference ahead of the away game against Southampton F.C, Ten Hag was quick to respond to Ronaldo, saying he believed the Saudi footballer said that Manchester United cannot win the league.
He even threw in an extra jab, pretty much displaying that Ronaldo wasn’t that important and his comments mean’t less to him.
“So he’s far away in Saudi, far from Manchester. Everyone is entitled to have an opinion. It’s ok.”
However, it seems United fans are slowly losing respect for Ten Hag and supporting their legend in this fight.
Led by X United fan base bigwig Trey, @UTDTrey, he noted that Ten Hag’s reaction started to show why he had issues with other players.
From the comment section, it was clear that many of the other fans felt the same, in that Ten Hag was causing more injury then avoiding them.
One noted that:
“If he even had results to show as a manager, it’d have been fine but too much talk from someone who gives little or no result is irritating.”

I’ll be so real, the more this guy talks, the more I understand why Sancho didn’t apologize https://t.co/2qQaHfEW51
